Never Let Me Go By Kazuo Ishiguro

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read! Even though I read it several years ago when it first came out, I find myself being reminded of a scene or an idea from it often. In this book cloning is a reality that takes a terrible turn, but in such a mild-mannered way, you will be well on the path before you see it coming. The story is a horror show, a quiet little horror show that unfolds like linen napkin at a tea party. The characters are real and very likable. They are sheep you will want to save from the slaughter.

Never Let Me Go has also been made into a film, released in 2010 and available from the library.
