Ivan is an easygoing gorilla. He’s lived for the last 27 years at the Exit 8 Big Top Mall and Video Arcade. Ivan spends his days in his glass enclosure being watched by humans and creating artwork that’s sold for profit. His fellow companions are Stella an elephant injured from the treatment of her previous owner and Bob a stray dog that enjoys sleeping on Ivan’s belly. Due to the economy tanking and interest dropping off, the owner purchases a baby elephant named Ruby to pull in more customers. Things change with Ruby’s arrival, but can Ivan make it a change for the better?  The One and Only Ivan  is a beautifully written work of fiction, based on a real gorilla named Ivan who now lives at Zoo Atlanta-click here to see him.  Highly recommended for animal lovers.
