Downtown Library

The Downtown Library has been serving residents at 627 South Street since 1989. The main library of the TCPL system offers the widest range of materials, resources, programs and research. The library carries microfilm and paper back issues of several decades worth of periodicals including the Journal and Courier to the 1840's. It also has an extensive Indiana History section with a wealth of local information.

Directions:
From West Lafayette/Purdue:
Go East on State Road 26/State Street
Once you cross the river State Street becomes South Street
Go through 5 stoplights and the library will be on your right, parking in the rear.
From I-65:
Go West on State Road 26
Continue West on State Road 26 through the intersection with State Road 52
At 16th Street State Road 26 becomes 1 way, follow the traffic slightly to the right
State Road 26 westbound is now called Columbia Street
Turn Left on 6th Street
At the next light make another left onto South Street
The library is on your right, parking in the rear.
From US 231 South:
Follow US 231 North into West Lafayette
Turn right on State Road 26
Go East on State Road 26/State Street
Once you cross the river State Street becomes South Street
Go through 5 stoplights and the library will be on your right, parking in the rear.
From State Road 43 North:
Follow State Road 43 South into West Lafayette
Turn left on State Road 26
Go East on State Road 26/State Street
Once you cross the river State Street becomes South Street
Go through 5 stoplights and the library will be on your right, parking in the rear.
