The Tippecanoe County Public Library (TCPL) celebration of 2013 National Library Week starts Monday, April 15. The 2013 theme “Communities Matter @ Your Library,” is celebrated by an open house at every location, a surprise or two, and a number of special programs throughout the week.

Photographer and author John Bower offers a visual presentation based on his books about historic Indiana architecture – from humble farm buildings to once majestic, now crumbling edifices. After the program, Bower photos and books are available for sale and signing.

The Downtown Library, Tippecanoe County/Ivy Tech Library, Klondike Branch (W.L.), and TCPL Mobile Library serve more than 105,000 cardholders countywide. There are nearly 500,000 items in library collections, including books, free downloadables, movies, nonfiction DVDs, music CDs, and a wealth of online resources. Spanish-language programs and materials also are available.
