The Tippecanoe County Public Library (TCPL) celebration of 2013 National Library Week starts Monday, April 15. The 2013 theme “Communities Matter @ Your Library,” is celebrated by an open house at every location, a surprise or two, and a number of special programs throughout the week.

The Downtown Library, Tippecanoe County/Ivy Tech Library, Klondike Branch (W.L.), and TCPL Mobile Library serve more than 105,000 cardholders countywide. There are nearly 500,000 items in library collections, including books, free downloadables, movies, nonfiction DVDs, music CDs, and a wealth of online resources. Spanish-language programs and materials also are available.

The American Library Association’s Campaign for America’s Libraries (www.ala.org/@yourlibrary) is an annual public awareness campaign to promote the value of libraries and librarians. Thousands of libraries of all types – across the country and around the globe – participate. The Campaign is made possible by ALA’s Library Champions.
