Toddler Storytimes
Toddlers, age 24 months to about 42 months, are fun and filled with curiosity. They like books, rhythms, crafts, activities and music.  Developmentally, toddlers are beginning to understand basic concepts, develop a sense of humor, and realize a story sequence, but are still upset by separation from a parent or caregiver.*  You and your child are cordiallly invited to join us for this special storytime designed for toddlers and their adult caregivers.

Toddler Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's).

What do they do at Toddler Storytime?
Toddler Storytime usually involves a theme, fingerplays, songs, stories, books and a craft or activity.  (See sample program sheet, below.)

How long does the program last?
Most programs usually last 20 to 30 minutes.

Where are the Storytimes held?
Toddler Storytimes are held in Meeting Room A at the Downtown Library.

When do you do these Storytimes?
Toddler Storytimes are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:15 a.m.. We repeat the same program on both Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in a single week to give more people the opportunity to attend.  We do not present storytimes in May, August, or December in order to plan for the upcoming sessions.

Do I have to sign-up to come?
No, but the room holds a maximum of 30 people.   Come early to ensure you get a place!

What if I have more questions?
You can call Youth Services at 429-0119 or email the Ask Here Desk.

In my pocket is a zoo.
Ei-i-ee-i-o!
There is a doggie in there, too!
Ei-i-ee-i-o!
With a woof-woof here, and a woof-woof there.
Here a woof, there a woof, everywhere a woof-woof.
In my pocket there is a zoo.
Ei-i-ee-i-o!

Repeat verse with other animals.
There's a hoot-owl in there too!
With a whoo-whoo here...

There's an alligator in there too!
With a chomp-chomp here...

Ei-i-ee-i-o!
I'll hide it there 'til Mom finds out!
Ei-i-ee-i-o!
Then they'll run away here, and they'll run away there,
